LEGO Ghostbusters Movie

Paul Feig's Ghostbusters won't start haunting theaters until next month, but here's the next best thing (or the best thing, depending on which fan you talk to): a Lego remake of Ivan Reitman's iconic 1984 comedy!

In a dazzling display of Internet fandom, the family-friendly team behind Digital Wizards Studios pooled together "$100,000 of Lego bricks" and spent "2,000 hours over the last five months" to bring everyone to Spook Central.

The end result is something that's best described as "adorable." In a little under five minutes, the clip manages to capture the most iconic beats of the legendary film, making for one stunning sliver of pop culture. How they handle Venkman's epic line to Peck is something that'll tickle every punmaster.

Oh, and here are a few fun facts to put their grand ambition in perspective: 1. The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is played by a 10 year old, 2. The video features five of the most valuable Lego sets produced (Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, and Mr. Gold), and 3. 140 different miniature figures appear in the largest city scene. The makes of the LEGO Ghostbusters Remake have surely earned themselves a Crunch bar!

The LEGO Ghostbusters Remake also features references to other pop culture franchises, such as Doctor Who, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Scooby Doo, and Star Wars:

"You're right, no human being would stack Legos like this."
